Riders will receive lessons in the morning (dressage as well as jumping) & in the afternoon they will learn about horse & barn management. The hands on aspect of this camp will teach campers how to properly treat common equine ailments as well as how to properly muck, feed and run a horse farm. Half-Day Camp is designed especially for children who are always begging to ride a pony, but have not yet had formal riding lessons. This camp focuses on introducing young riders to the basics of horsemanship: safety around horses and the barn, grooming, tacking-up, feeding, and of course riding. Their daily riding lessons will be given on our fabulous, well-behaved ponies. The children will have an experienced instructor by their side while riding to ensure safety.
Aside from riding, we offer lots of horsey-themed crafts and activities to teach campers valuable information while they are playing and having fun. No boring, sit-down lectures here! Camp runs for three days 9:00am-12:00 pm. $175/week
